November 21st 2006

Another Christmas is approaching and here we are with Part Four of the Q & A! There is still a bit to come but please note that the Q & A as such is closed - so if you send in more questions these days, the emails will be forwarded to Boz directly (unless inappropriate, as always strict censorship by the webmaster) and it's up to him whether he gets back to you or not.

Boz has been enjoying some Mexican sunshine and is now looking forward to some more Morrissey dates in Germany and the UK which will bring an eventful touring year to an end.

What else? Shelly who publishes the Boz Zine lets us know that she is accepting your submissionsfor issue no. 2. You can email her at August9Gal@aol.com. She has also set up a myspace with loads of info on Boz and his army of friends and allies. And Helen drops in with the news that the '1001 reasons why we love Boz' section is followed by the inevitable '2002 reasons why we love Boz" along with lots more Boz stuff over at Pretty Petty Thieves. Thanks girls!

Have a very happy pre-festive season and go see Boz with Moz if you can!!

Boz is still busy touring with Moz as the European festival season has started. Meanwhile though, we kick off our first round of q & a's that were sent in by you. Happy Birthday!

Boz is 44 today - feel free to leave a message for him in the guestbook. He's still on tour with Morrissey but he'll sure catch up with things on the road.

Shelly lets us know that the first issue of the Boz Boorer newsletter is done and ready. "I drink I think therefore I am" has 12 pages and features the "Sinnin' in the South" road trip, tales of the Boorer's recent holiday with Steve Hooker plus info on the Shillelagh Sisters and Boz and the Bozmen. This first issue is FREE, all contributions are welcome and very appreciated. Email Shelly to receive your copy.

The first round of replies to the recent q & a is coming up in just a few days - meanwhile, you're still welcome to hand in more by sending an email to webmaster@bozboorer.com . If you handed in something recently, please drop by again in a few days to see what Boz has to say to you.
May 2006

Boz will be busy touring with Morrissey in the next couple of months, so there won't be much time for side projects. Instead of bringing you the tour diary this time, he will answer some questions handed in by you! Send your entry to webmaster@bozboorer.com - please try to keep it relevant and note that all questions will be filtered by the webmaster before they get to Boz.

Update January 26th

Boz sent in this message:
"Just been to Rome to make three great videos with Morrissey - vibes are brilliant!"

Is that good news or what?

Also: the people over at Pretty petty thieves have assembled "1001 reasons why we love Boz" - go check it out and see if you can find more!

January 20th

Happy new year everyone and welcome to another round of rock'n'roll mayhem in Boorer style!

Don't forget the Rock'n'Grind in Spain coming up in just a few days. Check out the flyer for details!

Morrissey recently answered some fans' questions via the fansite true-to-you. Here's what he had to say about working with his musical director Boz:

Q: What is it about Alain and Boz's music, and their style, that you enjoy most?

Henry, Los Angeles.
--
hello Henry

Everything. For a start, they know their craft impeccably. They are obsessive musicians and in it for life. Alain's work has a melodious sadness to it, whereas Boz is drawn to pulsating rhythms. The best of Boz is Reader Meet Author, and the best of Alain is Life is a Pigsty. I honestly feel honoured to have worked so much with both of them, and our relationship just improves with time - even if I don't.

Q: How has Jesse Tobias affected the new album?

Darragh, Dublin
--
hello Darragh

If you hear the new album you will notice a marked difference in sound, principally due to both Michael Farrell and to Jesse. Personally and musically, Jesse has made a big impact - You Have Killed Me, The Youngest Was The Most Loved, In The Future When All's Well, I Just Want To See The Boy Happy....these songs, especially, fully release the hounds. There are no Boz songs on this album, but strangely, it is the album on which Boz has been most involved and had such a massive input. Boz is 24-hour non-stop, and if impetus lulls, Boz steers everyone back on track.
If it seems to some people that Jesse has replaced Alain, I would like to say that this isn't true. There is no replacing and there is nothing but harmony amongst all the players.
